We’re learning all about 1066 in Year 4 this term. We’ve had fun voting for who should have been king of England after Edward the Confessor died on 5th January 1066. Our candidates (William – Duke of Normandy, Harold Godwinson and Harald Hardrada) had 3 minutes each to convince us that they would be best suited.
In our voting Harold Godwinson won with over half the votes, whilst the cruel, unpopular Viking king, Harald, didn’t gain much support!
